As part of ÂÜÀòÉäÇø’s commitment to the as well as a commitment to creating an environment of inclusivity and equity, the University is proud to continue the Magnifying Black Voices bursary and mentorship program into its second cohort.
Originally launched in 2024 as a pilot initiative, Magnifying Black Voices was created to empower students who identify as Black across all ÂÜÀòÉäÇø campuses. The program was developed in response to long-standing calls for greater support, visibility, and community-building opportunities for Black students in Canadian post-secondary education. With guidance from students, faculty, staff, and community members, the pilot cohort laid the groundwork for a model rooted in care, celebration, and self-determination. As we transition into this second cohort, our goal is to build on the momentum and deepen our impact, ensuring that Magnifying Black Voices remains a sustainable and responsive initiative for years to come.
