Biography

Our lab loves insects (and other arthropods)! And we particularly love local insects, although we really aren’t picky.

Our current projects include:

  • Spruce beetle genomics
  • Spruce tree defenses against insects
  • Aquatic insect biodiversity
  • Pollination ecology (orchids, wetlands, post-forest fire, and agroecosystems)
  • Agroecosystem pest and natural enemy community ecology
  • Urban arthropod biodiversity
  • Other insect and chemical ecological research
