Leah Tjepkema, BN, RN, began her nursing career in Fort St. John, B.C. in 2015. She has worked across a variety of clinical areas, including long-term care, medical–surgical units, and labour and delivery and earned her Perinatal Specialty Certificate in 2017. In 2023, Leah began a Master of Nursing Education at the University of Victoria, where she is focusing on innovative teaching strategies to prepare the next generation of nurses.

Leah is passionate about women’s health and perinatal care, equity in access and delivery of health services, and serving under resourced communities.
