Receiving Your Request
Electronic articles and book chapters are sent to your email with a link to a PDF document. Download the PDF when accessing as there is a time limit and limited number of views.
Books: Youll receive an email notification letting you know when ILL material is available.
- Prince George patrons may pick items up at the Library Services Desk.
- Regional/distance patrons will receive delivery of ILL items to their regional campus or distance location.
- Faculty can choose to have ILL items delivered to offices via internal mail. Large items or multi-volume sets may need to be picked up from the Library Services Desk.
Please notify the ILL department if you no longer need the item you requested so that it can be returned to the lending library.

Yes, we can ship ILL books to your regional campus or your mailing address (within Canada). Just make sure to select these options and enter your information on the request form.
If you are located near another Canadian academic institution, you may be able to take advantage of .
It depends. E-book licensing can be very restrictive, and libraries may not be allowed to provide full e-books via ILL.
However, there are a small number of libraries that can provide e-books from certain publishers. Youre welcome to submit a request for an e-book and we can try to get it for you. If you can let us know whether a print book would also be acceptable in the Comments field on the request, that would be very helpful!
Textbooks may be very difficult to get, especially if they are recently published. Some textbook publishers wont sell their textbooks to libraries. Textbooks on course reserve at other libraries are not available through ILL.
Keep in mind that even if we can get your textbook, loan periods are limited, and you may not be able to use the book for the full semester.
