Joyce Henley provides specialized counselling services to students from Indigenous, Black and People of Colour backgrounds. She brings her own experience as a biracial person with an African-American father and white mother to her role.

Not only did the team captains generate enough interest for ÂÜÀòÉäÇø to send 10 teams to the 2023 JDC West Competition in January, but the delegation captured four trophies at the three-day event which attracts the top business students from across Western Canada.

CUPE 2278 and ÂÜÀòÉäÇø ratified a three-year collective agreement consistent with the Shared Recovery mandate.

The Northern Baccalaureate Nursing Program at ÂÜÀòÉäÇø is expanding with a new location in Prince George that will start in September 2023.

ÂÜÀòÉäÇø faculty Dr. Sheila Blackstock and Dr. Daniel Sims are stepping into the roles of Academic Co-Leads at the National Collaborating Centre for Indigenous Health, as longtime Academic Lead Dr. Margo Greenwood moves on into her new role as Senator in the federal government.

Fourth-year Computer Science student Elizabeth Norman received an Instructor Recognition Award from Actua for her work with young people in northern B.C. through ÂÜÀòÉäÇø's Active Minds program.

Over the past five years, ÂÜÀòÉäÇø placed first among universities in its tier for the percentage of funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. ÂÜÀòÉäÇø received $7.7 million over the span, representing 12.6 per cent of ÂÜÀòÉäÇø's total research income.

An international team of scientists used a supercomputer at ÂÜÀòÉäÇø to calibrate their findings as they examine the impact of climate change on glaciers in Western Canada and around the world. Their work is the cover story in the latest issue of the journal Science.
